Five Favorite Things: March

Five Favorite Things: March

Women’s History Month. In honor of Women’s History Month, all book related posts this month will focus on female authors.

The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn. This doesn’t technically come out until the very end of the month, but I am so excited about it. A novel about a Ukrainian librarian turned World War II sniper might just be the book you didn’t know you needed. It sounds a bit like a Quentin Tarantino movie without the toxic masculinity.

Half Baked Harvest Every Day: Recipes for Balanced, Flexible, Feel-Good Meals. Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest is currently my favorite food blogger and I love her first two cookbooks. I can’t wait to see what’s in her newest book. This one is also out at the very end of the month.

Pinotage. I recently tried Pinotage, a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut mostly grown in South Africa, and I love it. It’s much fuller bodied than Pinot Noir (no idea what Cinsaut tastes like) and flavors include berries and spice.

St. Patrick’s Day. I am very definitely not Irish, being 100% Slav, but I look cute in green and will welcome an opportunity to buy a bottle of Irish whisky.

What are you enjoying this month?
